Any suggestions for particular lakes and/or spots to try for walleye via baker lake? Going late May. Base camp with a walleye emphasis.
Thanks

Baker 39 is my entry this year also, a bit later than you. Looking forward to insight.

Burnt Lake, near the islands between the portage from Kelly and Smoke (draw a straight line between portages and you'll see what I mean). Lots of good walleyes in that lake.
Smoke has a decent amount of walleye too. The southeast shoreline has always produced for me.

You'll just be fighting the crowds. Last spring I saw 11 canoes drifting around on Burnt and my wife and I ended up heading out early simply because we kept having to avoid floating too close to other boats. We felt we were contributing to the issue that the 9 person 4 boat limit tries to solve, through no fault of our own.

I'd stay away from burnt. Heard it has been fished out.

There's a decent hole below the rapids where Kelly washes into Petersen. Spend some time on Jack Lake too.

If time and route allow??? Be sure to check out the old mine shaft on Jack Lake.
Old mine information
