Hello All, has anyone tried the AegisMAX bags off of Amazon yet? Lots of good reviews.

Ill be heading to the BWCA in early July. Historical average low looks to be 35+ degrees during July. Looks like these bags might barely make the cut so I’m curious if anyone has tried them.

I have 2 of these aegis max UL and they look like they will be a great late spring, summer, early fall bag. The baffles are sewn all the way through so I would expect cold spots in really cold weather. not exactly the bag in your link, but looks like the same company. some people complain of the smell, not an issue for me. they pack really small. shipping takes a long time.

I have not challenged it with temp so I can't comment on that. But I was plenty warm with temps in the 60's.

Over the years I've spent plenty of supposed to be hot nights go cold and supposed cold nights hot. So now I typically layer my bags. Gives me options. I'll bring this with my 45deg synthetic bag. Combo the 2 if it's cold or pick 1 if it's hot.

The gold one isn’t the one I was looking at but just posted for reference to the brand.

Debating on the quilt or square bag.

I have one of these and ive had it for a year. Used it in BW last year on a June/July trip with temps around mid 40s and was fine. I would suggest hedging your bets and picking up a polyester or silk liner for ~$30 (teton makes a cheap one and theyre half the size of a nalgene) to add 10 degrees. I actually just used it this weekend and temps got down to 35 and with the liner i was fine. Definitely pushing it, but i had to try it out that low. It is a perfect summer bag because it is so freakin small and lightweight. Can't beat it for $75.

Thanks! For the size, I think carrying the liner will still be less in size than a 20 degree bag! Thanks for the advice.
