I have a trip coming up entering BWCA on May 16 at Moose Lake.

I'm aware of the current possibility of ice, but does anyone have any information or know where I can find information on fire threat/possibility of a fire ban? A friend mentioned the fire threat is very high at the moment. Is this information on the DNR site somewhere?

Try this, back out a little and surf around, this will give you much more info.

It is way to early to guess if there well be fire restrictions during your time.

Just heard on WTIP radio that Gunflint Trail is under a red flag fire warning until further notice. They need rain and green-up. So, if you have immediate plans, bring stove.

If only we could move some of that stubborn ice into the woods.
