We have been to Polly multiple times and have enjoyed it. We are wanting to explore another lake and trek similar to Polly.
I'm hesitate to hit the big waters as I'm with my daughter who is still a bit young. Polly hasn't been a problem to portage and paddle to.
We are looking to do a 7 night trip to fish, swim and relax. Any recommendations of places to try next? Thanks

Gillis or Crooked Lake via the Brant Lake entry point looks very similar to me. Lots of other lakes in that area to explore on day trips too.

I think the travel day from Round Lake to Gillis would be much tougher than the travel day from Kawishiwi to Polly. A couple that would maybe be similar are Poplar to Gaskin. Base camp on Gaskin gives you many options for fishing and day-trips. Also from Cross Bay Lake entry down to Karl or Long Island. From Karl or Long Island, you could exit through Snipe and Missing Link to make it more of a loop. It's just a short walk back to your vehicle at the Cross Bay entry parking.

Gaskin's a nice lake indeed and a pretty easy trip in if you go through Liz lake.

Also a huge fan of Ogishkemuncie. You can get there in a fairly easily; it would be a somewhat long day but with a tow you could get there by early afternoon without much trouble.

Ensign might be another option. It's a pretty easy paddle in from Moose and gives you the option to go up to Knife and loop back down. Can be crowded but it's a nice lake.

I like the Entry 47: Lizz Lake to Gaskin Lake idea. Plenty of chances to see moose.

Couple more options:

Entry 39: Baker Lake to North or South Temperance Lakes. Beautiful paddle up the Temperance River watershed. South Temperance only has 4 campsites and can fill quickly. North Temperance has nice scenery.

Entry 14: Little Indian Sioux North to Shell, Little Shell, or Lynx Lakes. This is a pretty paddle down the Little Indian Sioux River to the Pauness Lakes. The longest portage to Shell Lake may have a beaver pond in the middle of it. Take the time to walk the portage next to the Devil's Cascade. This is also a busy area. Might be tough to get a permit this late.

Have a great trip!

Sawbill to Grace/Phoebe

Same area. same fishing maybe better not too hard to get too.

I was going to suggest this route fishnfreak, but thought twice about the Alton Lake section. Alton can be tough in wind out of the right direction.

Brule to Winchell. Not as long to get there as to get to Polly from Kawishiwi, but getting across Brule, you'll have slightly bigger water than Kawishiwi, though a shorter trip from south to north side. Shorter portages up to Winchell, and you've got a nice sized lake with lots of easy day options.

Or you could go just past Polly to Malberg for more flexibility.

Also second the Sawbill area suggestion.
