Looking for basic vegetables: corn, peas, carrots, green beans. The popular names like Mountain House and such use to have them but I guess not profitable enough so no longer. Backpackers Pantry adds butter like stuff and salt. Harmony House and Honeyville seem to be two current options. Packit Gourmet also but they seem to cater to smaller packaging at greater unit cost. Not interested in dehydrated for these vegetables - too much loss of flavor, appeal, and nutrients as well as longer prep time.

North Bay Trading Co looks like they have them in reasonably sized portions. No, I haven’t tried them.

Good find. Seems like at least slightly better prices but no detailed comparison yet.

I have used Harmony House vegetables in dehydrated & freeze dried. In freeze dried they have celery, corn & peas (which I have used) along with mushrooms & edamame. They do not have carrots or regular green beans in the freeze dried version, only dehydrated. I like their quality, their portions & their prices. I order their freeze dried fruits too, although you can now find a lot of that in a supermarket now. Have used them as my go-to to supplement my own dehydrated meals along with Hoosier Hill for powdered cheeses & etc. I have not tried Honeyville or Packit Gourmet.

Have been using North Bay for some time. Real similar to Harmony House in shipping/handling orders quick and accurate. Offering a big selection with many choices between air dried and freeze dried (some veggies it makes a difference like green beans loose all flavor air dried). Taste wise nothing queer, carrots taste like carrots, onions the same and so on.

I have tried Pack It Gourmet and have been very happy. I haven't tried any of the others. I like several of the Pack It Gourmet meals also. They have great service.

Check your local co-ops. I used to work with a guy who got them there for a very reasonable price in smaller quantities if wanted. I tried them and were very good both in taste, texture and value. Let your fingers do the walking, good luck.

If you’re in the Twin Cities, Midwest Mountaineering has a selection of freeze-dried vegetables—but I don’t remember the brand(s) so I apologize if it’s one of the brands you don’t care for.

I second the comments above about Packit Gourmet—they have a good selection with great customer service.

+1 for Harmony House. I like this one personally, billed as soup mix. It has carrots, onions, tomatoes, peas, celery, green bell peppers, green beans and parsley, which seems to fit what you are looking for. Harmony House Veg Mix
