I am hoping to get information from Lake 1 to Lake 2 to Rock Island to ClearWater to Turtle to Bald Eagle to Gabbo Lake to little Gabbro back up the Kiwishisi. From what I know looking at book and maps and websites that it is doable but was looking for some firsthand knowledge. If Rock Island isn't doable perhaps another way to get to Bald Eagle.

Portages in and out of Rock island are pretty rough since the Pagami Fire. The only campsite on Rock Island is now closed. Probably not worth the hassle.

All reports suggest its not maintained and very hard going. Despite that, I'm intrigued by it and want to try it. It would be akin to bushwhacking i believe.

Not the same trip but I did this about 20 years ago. It's called the 3 Rivers loop.100 mile, 50+ portage. From Lake 1 head to Insula, Alice, to Malberg. Head south to Kawishiwi Lake. Long road portage to Hog Creek. We hitched a ride. Head west to Perent, Isabella, Bald Eagle, Gabbro, kawishiwi River back to One. My partner and I did it in 5 days in an Old Town Disco back then. I would give myself 8 days now
