.....on opening day? Pictures?

The largemouth are *insane* right now. We caught almost 70 in about five hours this afternoon. Here's the biggest...I believe the blade on the paddle is 19''.

No pics - forgot my phone at home - but was surprised at how active the pike & bass were in the colder water. Nothing huge, but had a nice flurry of activity that made going out in the Cities (to a non-motorized lake to avoid amateur hour) well worth it. Nice, quiet evening.

Most came on senkos, wacky rigged or t-rigged. A few on swim jigs, but after losing three to pike in about 20 casts, I stuck with the plastics.

Pike always make it more expensive to fish for bass up there.

we almost caught some ditch or lake when my brake line failed on the way to a lake and fluid drained out at the access! hahaha we are safe now :)

Got some fish over on Lake of the Woods. Not quite a limit of little keepers, mixed in a 28" and three or four 25"-ish fish. Nice weather.
