Anybody going through the U.P. on your way back from Ely, or close anyways, anytime soon?

I have a boat that needs to be picked up at Piragis. Willing to meet somewhere in the Western U.P./WI if need be. I'm in the eastern U.P.

Not any time soon unless Oct. qualifies, but I do go right across the U.P. on my way. I'll also be coming back from Grand Marais rather than Ely. I hope you can arrange something before then, but if not maybe something can be worked out.

I may choose that route to go east... I can't really go anywhere for a couple weeks. And I'll be pretty empty... I'll let you know.

I am coming back from Ely to Gladstone on June 23 with one canoe on a two-canoe rack. My concern is that I will also be hauling a travel trailer, so I center my canoe to allow me to turn without putting a canoe end into the trailer. But I could make it work by strapping the canoes forward a bit to give me clearance. I would make the trip in one day, so issues of parking and backing into a campsite are gone.

There was a gentleman who was driving from Ely to Chicago and decided to detour through the U.P. to avoid WI construction and see new sights. He has a second home in Ely and checks in with Piragis to inquire about boats needing a ride. Sounds like he's hauled a few for them. Worked out good!!
