I do not a lot of xp in choosing lines so help:)
I have one pole and thats it so...
I do mostly casting cranks and tubes and will switch to live bait once and while...like most people i guess. I was going to try spiderwire ultra cast at 10lbs green. I want to eliminate swivels and try and be less visible all around. I saw the video on chatter baits and I am looking at the Maxima ultagreen fluro for leaders but unsure what pound test to use with it. I of course am going to using Mikes z-too set up. Who are the best players for low pound test braids?
I don't like the idea of a mono backing on the spool because of the mid spool knot. Can the store put it on right with out slip?
Whats the best knot for tying directly to baits or swivels with braid?
Thanks

Don't worry about the knot between mono backing and braid. You should have plenty of braid still to never actually see or need your knot.
As far as small braid, lately I've liked Slick 8. Previously I've had 832 or Power Pro with no real complaints.

I buy whichever braid is on sale and don't really have any complaints about any of them. I know some guys like the superslick and nanofil for better casting, but I can't say I've seen enough of a difference to strongly recommend one brand over another.
