Slight mishap with my MN2. Punched a silver dollar sized hole through the side. I have it trimmed, pieced back together and sanded......Kevlar cloth and epoxy. Just wondering how many layers of cloth to cover the defect? Will two do it or do I need three? I was planning on two on inside and outside. Any advice?

1 Kevlar inside, 1 glass outside

I do have some old glass cloth. Is that better for outside because of strength reasons or because it will wet out clear for a nicer look? Not sure if it matters, but I didn't say that this is a skin coat boat.

Glass inside and out is the recommended repair. Kevlar doesn't sand and strength is not the issue . Kevlar uses less resin that glass or Carbon and thus saves weight on an entire hull. No need to use Kevlar. If it were me, I'd use one outside and two inside. After you wet it out and apply, put a piece of nylon over both. After it cures peel the nylon off.

Thanks for the tips.....it turned out quite well. Should be seaworthy for next weekend at LIS north.
