Not trying to get anyone riled up but if you're camping in the BWCA tonight, be prepared for a bumpy, stormy night. There is potential for a bow echo or a strait lined wind event tonight over the Arrowhead. With not much in the way of storms last year, many may not be aware. The storms look to move through somewhere around 3-4 a.m.

hopefully they all have weather radios and looked out for dead branches/trees before setting up camp.

Getting thunderboomers coming through just east of Grand Rapids now. Sounds like the boomer fireworks display. Not much wind yet anyway. Not even rain...

The storms I’m worried about are still progressing through North Dakota. Reports of Baseball size hail and damaging winds are reported with several of these storms. If they congeal into a line you have to watch out. The big blow down of 1999 was from a Derech or otherwise know as a long lived bow echo. My prayers are with all of those camping tonight.

Nasty line of storms on radar around 5am. Any news?

Weather report says to expect thunderstorms until Sunday. Glad I'm not going in until Wednesday. This moisture might make the bugs unbearable though.
