Met bhouse46 yesterday as he camped at a nearby state park. We talked for hours, and could have probably talked all night! Shuttled him on the Eleven Point River today and it sure was painful watching him paddle away knowing my body's not quite ready. Like just about every member I've met, I feel like I have a new friend for life. This sure is a great place!

So cool! He is a great friend to have, too! I have had the pleasure of meeting him at a Wingnight gathering. If you ever get a chance to come to Minnesota for our annual Wingnight (this September 21-23) we would LOVE to meet you, too, Ozarkpaddler!

Yes, Terry. That is why I have been begging you to come to Canoecopia for years now. You could come to dinner and meet lots and lots of us. . .and talk about canoeing, about camping, and also about all sort of other stuff. You would deepen your online friendships, and finally I would get to meet you! How about it? March of 2019??

Yes, Canoecopia and the big Fall Minnesota Wing Night are both on my "Bucket List!" Since I missed out on my summer BWCAW trip due to my illness, maybe a fall trip and a Wing Night THIS year?

And Lynda, meeting the "Spartans," and I don't mean the MSU teams, are on that "List!"

Well, we don't do the Wing Night campout, Terry, so it will have to be some other time. Actually, that time this year we will be on a River Boat trip in the Pacific Northwest. But we would certainly enjoy meeting you sometime.

Yep Ben's a pretty good guy! Hope I can go like him when I get his age.

Would that be on the Columbia River?

Riverboat Cruise with the Spartan Alumni Travel Group on Columbia and Snake Rivers aboard the "American Empress."

My wife and I took the Columbia/Snake trip 10 years ago. Great trip, although not a canoe journey. If your trip includes a jet boat ride up Hells Canyon of the Snake, don't pass that by.
