I am convinced that the CCS Lean+ is the greatest thing since sliced bread, (yes, I am old) but I need to decide between the Lean 1 and Lean 2. About half of my trips will be solo or with my dog. The rest of my trips are with one to three other people. I was all but certain that I wanted the 1+, but being that the 2+ is only $45 more and would give me 40% more space I really should consider the 2+. I would not think that the extra two feet of width would make finding set up locations too much more difficult, and the extra room would be nice sometimes.
Any thoughts?

If the three of you are going to sleep in the Lean then yes you will need the Lean 2. I'm with other people in that the extra space is usually a good thing. Most solo trippers I've heard are quite happy with the Lean 1.

Been using a Lean 1+ for a long time. Spacious comfortable and fairly light for solo shelter. Slept 2 frequently with gear inside in heavy rain with comfort, probably maxed out with 2 and a dog.
Info on myself for judgement, I like solo tents, with no problem sleeping in so called "coffin" sized shelters. Tend to small and light packs, normally under 45 pounds 75 liters, total combined on canoe trips (2 pack double portage), much less backpacking.
SinglePortage, by your description, go with a Lean 2+.

I have a 1+ and a 3+. The 3+ is huge which is great and has very little weight penalty. the only drawback is that it is pretty wide and sometimes it can be difficult to find space for it. The 1+ is fine for 1 person but it would be tight for 2, especially if you might sit inside in chairs. In the 1+ I can fit a cot and a camp chair comfortably, but not 2 camp chairs and 2 sleeping areas. I would get the 2+ in your situation.
I should add that I really like the white color. My large one is yellow and the light shining through is of course yellow which gets old. The white color is very nice for sitting inside on a rainy day with lots of diffused light. The only downside is a full moon can be bright but that is a small thing.
