Not sure how to mount this to a canoe, but it could make things interesting :^) Since it's not mechanized, I'd assume it would be legal in the BWCA. But God forbid that anyone ever think about bringing something like this in with them, LOL!

That is one way to get rid fish remains, just launch them into the woods from a canoe.

Wow that thing is no joke. I like it. Awesome for getting a bait beyond the second sand bar. Great for night fishing off the beach. I have heard of some brave (stupid) souls swimming large baits out at night while shark fishing.

My luck would be I’d forget to flip the bail, or a knot in the line and whooosh, my rod is 100 yards out in the ocean.

Reminds me of those drone fisherman that fly and spot the fish / sharks and drop the bait right in their faces......you can do about anything these days
