I love the tinge of yellow color.

This will surprise many but crappie here in Florida aren't fit to eat IMO. They have a very soft meat and taste like cottony mush. I don't know why the difference is so dramatic from northern states. Pity because the crappie (speck) fishing in Florida is excellent for size and numbers.

Lost no gear, had a good laugh all by myself. Still not sure what happened there; been a long time since that happened. Between capsizing and laughing out loud and then yelling "YAAAY!" every time I caught a crappie anyone observing woulda thought I was around the bend. Not saying I'm not, just saying.
