I'm heading to Saganagons in a month and thought I'd run this video that I made up the flag pole one more time to see if it has any staying power.

Hitler goes to the Q reboot

It was a bit of a stretch for me, but I give you three gold stars for the effort. It was a tad creepy.

I still laugh at this video. Pretty damn creative... Hitler can't use leeches in Quetico anymore so now he's going to get outfished by Stalin... dropping a deuce in a hole... LOLOL. Lots of good BWCA.com members get mentioned, too.

One cannot help but laugh. Very clever.

I am reminded of the absolutely wonderful movie which will make you laugh and cry all at the same time.......a romantic comedy with the holocaust as a backdrop. The scene where the dad is interpreting the German soldier's commands inaccurately to the benefit of his child.....priceless.

Life is beautiful

A romantic comedy with the holocaust as a backdrop. Thanks, but I will pass. There has to be a better avenue to pursue to display your sense of humor than to play off Hitler, Stalin and the holocaust. I would hope so anyway.

As we all know, Hitler caused the deaths of forty million people. Stalin murdered people by the thousands with the wave of a hand. I suppose I can appreciate making fun of a German guard, but I have two episodes of Hogan’s Heroes nightly to fill that niche.

By the way, did you know that Klink, Schultz, general Burkhalter, and major Hochstetter were all Jews? The first three being immigrants from Germany. I mean the actors, Werner Klemperer, John Banner etc. LaBeau was in a concentration camp, has the tattoos, and is the only one still alive. So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

And Colonel Hogan married Fraulein Hilda in real life and then was killed while performing some kind of sex act. I was always partial to Helga myself, but it’s not worth splitting a blond hair over. Sounds like it might be worth dying for though I guess.

I still find it interesting that like HH, the show Combat was on TV for six years depicting war scenarios in Europe by the US Army and the time from the Normandy invasion to victory in Berlin was only about fourteen months.

And it takes five years of training to be a union carpenter around here, but only seven weeks to train a Marine to go kill bad guys in some far away foreign land. Go figure.

I was working on a nazi themed limerick, but I found my options for words rhyming with Hitler limited. I think I’m going to let that go.

Cheers.

Yes sir a romantic comedy with the holocaust as a backdrop. It will make you laugh out loud, and will pull you in, and yet the seriousness of the holocaust is never diminished......a fine line which was walked with incredible tactfullness. Fairly certain the Italian actor won for best actor. I highly recommend the movie, it is not to be missed.

Yes Scat most of us are aware of the horrific consequences of Stalin, Hitler and Mao. Millions lie dead in their wake.......a reminder of the powers of big tyrannical governments.

I am fairly certain that most can hold and understand the humor without diminishing the atrocity.

But there is room for your perspective Scat. I have respect for the way you feel (I felt a check myself) but ask for tolerance for others.
