Heading up to Clearwater area Thursday. Can Someone give me an update on what I should be doing to catch trout *& walleyes? Like what type of structure, baits, when should I be targeting what. Current plan is to fish Caribou one day and Mountain Lake one day. Then the other days whatever, maybe go to Johnson Falls.
Thanks

Yo Tony, your not getting any love......what's up with that? Wish I could help but that area is not in my wheel house nor am I up to speed on what is going on weather wise in canoe country right now.

I dunno, I always start out paddling and looking around while dragging some kind of crank bait and watch my depth finder and see what the surface water temps are.

If I can catch or see some bait or a fish I like dropping live bait on walleye with light line and a smallish hook. Tough to beat. Mid day I would troll large tail dancers for lakers.

Thanks MT for the help.
Did get into a nice school of smalleys with a couple of eyes. I think we could have caught more eyes but had to keep going. Brother caught a nice laker.
Trip report and pictures later.
