So I ask my wife to go fishing in Basswood from our cabin on Moose Lake. She says “yes” if I catch something big. I told her its fishing and no guarantees! She agrees anyway.
So in summary, she hooks a nice medium small mouth and as she is fighting it a medium Pike hits the Small Mouth. The Pike held on long enough for me to net them both! About 20 minutes later she catches this 28” Walleye.
I caught a few little fish, but that was it. Go figure!!!

Just curious how many permits were you able to pull this year?
That would sick having a cabin on moose and not being able to get any permits.... see what next year Brings us.

This is not an appropriate thing to say about someone's wife, regardless of season.
