Easy one but not for me, what kind of tree is this?

That's a ginkgo...not native, but planted in city yards.

The ginko species is one of the oldest known existing tree species.
We had one in our yard growing up.
It's pretty easy to get them to grow straight up quite a bit before crowning out.

If you plant one, make sure you’re getting a male tree. The ripe "fruit" of the female tree smells like dog poo.

There are some planted near by and a volunteer has grown in my yard. Now I sure hope it is a male....
