This forum has been something I look forward to everyday. I read many threads and have gained a great deal of BWCA knowledge. The community within these forums is unmatched, and I wanted to say thanks for all of the insight and information. Your contributions and posts are read by many, and assisting others has been a rewarding endeavor.
These forums also make not being in the BWCA more manageable. I'm sure all of us would like to spend more time in canoe country, and this forum helps make the time between trips much more enjoyable. I wanted to extend a warm thanks to all of you and hope your trips this year have been memorable and full of adventure.
Thanks for being part of the BWCA.com family!

You're correct, this place is something special!
As my BWCAW trips have been fewer, it's served as a "Virtual campfire" where I can read about other's trips and feel a part of the northwoods even when I'm not there.
I've bought and sold boats here, lamented my health issues and mourned at the loss of members I knew only through e-mails and threads and one whom I shared campfires and paddles with. I've offered advice and made arrangements to shuttle fellow members. I've planned trips both up north and here in the Ozarks with some. Darn, I love this site; indeed, this IS a special place!

Thank you, SweetBerryWine, for your true and kind words. Sometimes those of us who have been in the community for a long time tend to forget just how special it is to be a part of the family. It is good to be reminded. :-) Welcome.

I agree. This is the only online forum I’m willing to be part of. Many of you have helped answer my questions and given helpful trip and fishing advice. Readings trip reports has become a favorite pastime. Thanks to all who make this a great site.

well said SBW!!!!!!!!
I have so many people from the messageboard I'd consider friends that I've never met in person. The people that I've been fortunate enough to meet in person from bwca.com have all been even better people in "real life".
If you can make it to a wing night to meet some of the faces behind the screen names it's well worth your time.
