Hi, I'm from the UK, hoping to get up to BWCA and looking to find a ride to Ely from Virginia/Duluth/Minneapolis on 18th or 19th August - anyone going that way? I'm willing to pay of course :-) Thanks

You might want to register with this site and not be a guest paddler. Also it's kind of vague where you need the ride from.

Agree with Tom T. That said, I will be leaving Northern Virginia on the 18th and will be going through Duluth the morning of the 19th, but not Minneapolis. I assume you have a trip to the BWCA planned.

50/50 chance of me going up that way then. If someone gets you up there how are you getting back? Going to play it by ear? I would be leaving from the Twin Cities. You are ok with flying in a float plane??

I'm going up Saturday morning the 18th. I leave at 6 a,m. I'd wait til 6:15, then I'm gone. Leaving from Stillwater just west of the twins. If I had a choice I'd take the Float Plane!!

I'd help but I deliver canoes, not canoers. Haha.... And I'll be going west. When you coming out?... Could be back... Yes very vague as where you need to be picked up and such. But, welcome to America when you come and yes please join the forum.

Yeah, pretty sure I got that, I am a geographer. Simply meant where I was leaving from and where I was headed through.

Clare, give us more specific coming and going information and we might be better able to help. there are a lot of us going "up and down" this time of year. Oh, and where in the UK - I have friends near Manchester - old paddling friends.
