Not because I want to but because personal situation makes it unlikely that I can use canoes and gears that my husband and I accumulated (and mostly used) over the 32 years we paddled together. I've been trying to work on this but slow going getting to this.
In my back garage right now, I have six canoes, EDIT: Make that 7 canoes. How could I forget #7, our favorite tripping canoe?!
1) I am planning to keep (Mohawk Solo14 Royalite) in case I'm physically able to do easy day trips in future;
2 & 3) that are "Sold" or being "Held" until August 23 or so (Sold: Wenonah Spirit II Royalex; Held: Bell Magic Kevlar);
4) Wenonah Champlain Kevlar;
5) Wenonah Minnesota III Kevlar;
6) Swift Osprey Golden Glass.
7) Souris River Jensen Huron
Photos of canoes are available.
Multiple packs: several Duluth Packs, multiple Granite Gear canoe packs, and an old, but very functional, Camp Trails pack ("The Monster"), bow packs, map cases, back packs.
Many tents including Eureka Timberlines, Mutha Hubba, Eureka 2 & 3 persons (have to storage shelves look up models, another smaller two person (again model to be checked).
Several tarps - include several CC tarps.
Various cooking stuff and stoves, etc.
If anyone is looking for some gear, I can make an further effort to check select items. Getting them out to check them (specifics, conditions, pricing) and photoing them is somewhat challenging right now but, with some help, I could do so for serious inquiries. Currently struggling with back/knee issues with potential for total knee replacement in September.

Ginny,
Do you have dimensions on your monster pack, and does it have a hip belt?
I'm still in need for a pack to put my folding canoe in.

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

Sorry to hear about the health concerns, i also had back surgery this summer. relatively minor and i am back at and prepping for our fall bwca trip.
I would be very interested in the granite gear packs - looking specifically for a GG food pack or their solo pack.
If you have one of those i would be in.

Very sorry to hear the news. Hope you're able to keep paddling that Mohawk.
I would be interested in the largest CCS tarp you have, as well as a bow bag. I'm also looking for a backpack with an integrated rain cover if you have one (20-30L).
Good luck going forward.

I'll work on specific items you ask about in the order in which you ask about them, giving me more info, pictures, asking prices, etc. as I can manage. Thank you.
Rather than editing my original post as I just did about my Souris River Huron canoe, I'll add information to new posts on this same thread. Unless it gets too cumbersome, then maybe I would create new posts with subject of kind of gear. Welcome anyone's idea of a better way to do this.

Sorry to hear that your tripping days may have come to an end. My dad died last fall which got me to thinking that I had better not leave any trips on the table for next year, because things can change in instant.
Do you have a Granite Gear Quetico pack? If so, I would be interested for sure. If the deal falls through on your Magic I might be interested in that as well. I am also interested in getting a CCS tarp, 8x10, 10x10 or 10x12. Also a 25-30L day pack. Also the Mutha Hubba depending on size.
Maybe you should just have a garage sale.

I feel your sadness and dread the day I have to make that call. I would like to be first in line on buying the Huron. Not sure when I'll pick it up......I'd send money ahead of time.....we'll work details out later.

PuffinGin,
My own wife would wring my neck if I tried to bring anymore gear into the house but, just wanted to offer words of support.
I often consider what my wife would do with all our accumulated gear in my absence. There was once a time when I even considered providing her usernames and paswords to my backpacking, hammocking and canoe forums with ballpark values of items so she could maximize her returns. However, I've come to realize the adventures we shared were the maximum possible returns. We are still a ways short of 32 years paddling together but, we have shared plenty of adventures.
I hope all goes well with your back and knee. Perhaps a new knee is all you need to get that Mohawk Solo back on the water.
Good wishes.

Hello. I may be interested in either the Duluth Packs or Granite Gear packs. I would also be interested in the Eureka tents. Finally, I may also be in the market for a stove. When you get a chance could you provide more information on these items as well as pricing?
As many other have already expressed, I also feel regret and sadness that you may not be able to continue adventuring to the degree that you have.

Ginny, I really don't need any gear but if you have a "Kitchen" roll up, Map case, thwart bag, or something small like that I'd like to buy it. It would be nice to have a little "Piece" of my friends with me on the trail! So glad you're keeping the Mohawk, I remember your first trip paddling it!

MrsOPS: "I’m interested in the Champlain if it’s an ultralight. I’d need some details on condition and asking price but I’m in no rush and can work with whatever time frame works for you."
I was on my wife’s iPad when I posted that. So, it’s me that’s interested, she might well be less interested in the idea of another canoe.

I'd be interested in a sort of complete outfit set up , canoe and as much gear that would be needed for two people to do trips on. I have basic stuff like sleeping bags and air mattress. More interested in canoe, paddles, pfd, and other type of gear to complete a package set up for bwca trips.
I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it!

I'll get in line for an adult-sized Granite gear pack if there's one left by the time my turn comes up. My son has outgrown is #4 duluth pack so I need to shop for something a bit larger. No hurry on this just let me know if something is unsold when it's my turn in line. Hope your transition to more modest canoeing goes well -- always a tough decision to downsize your gear.

I share your pain Ginny. I will be facing that day myself in 5-10. If one paddle passes on the Champlain I would be interested but for sure I am interested in a couple of your Timberline tents. No rush. Would be for next year anyway.

Ginny,
I also will be in Duluth around Sept 8th for a week and willing to help with sorting and or lifting.

I am going from Lincoln, NE to Ely on Tuesday next week. IF there was a way to connect and there are any left, my boys and I would be interested in any Granite Gear packs we could work out. If you email me a phone number, I would be happy to call. Scubadiverdad at g mail dot com
If someone has already claimed them, no issue at all. Thank you.

Whew, thought my computer was going the way my back, left leg has been lately when I came in here to provide a bit of an update and to begin contacting some of you. No email contacts for anyone. Discovered I had been logged out here because I was doing some cleanups on my cache, etc.
I have been working on pulling things out, photo'ing and trying to come up with asking prices: focused on canoes and packed so far. Truly didn't know how many my dear DB had acquired, many brandy new. A long story. Anyway, I am not ignoring any of you and will get back to you.
Wanted to let you, LindenTree3 and cowdoc know I'll be sending you emails.
Today is Decision Day for me: as of now there is a 85-90% probability that I will proceed with total replacement of my right knee. My primary doc may have something to say about it, of course but I'm on my orthopaedic doc's schedule for September 13.
Thank you for the many supportive comments .

Get that knee done and dont fear it. As an engineer in a very large orthopedics company, I can assure you that you will feel like a new person in no time and wonder why you waited so long to do it.
Best of luck with the recovery, and we will see you back out on the water soon.

Great to meet you again, Bob. Lately all I've been doing is talking to others about my aches and pains and planning for the next medical test or visit. You don't know how much I enjoyed talking about canoes, tripping gear, and paddling. And again, thank you for helping my SR Huron, well I guess it's not mine anymore, get to her new owner.
My original post was intended to be heads up from me and I truly didn't expect the responses to this. I posted at a time when I had just completed a long-overdue clean out of garage stuff including my husbands power tools and many other things I don't use. I was on a roll so posted to keep my momentum going before summer slipped away and my knee replacement happened. Unexpected muck hole on my portage: substantial back and leg pain resulting in diagnosis of herniated disc and sciatica. Slowed me down.
This long winded post is to tell you I continue to inventory packs (lots) and have been selling some of canoes. Update: Sold Wenonah Rx Spirit II, Bell Magic, and SR Huron.
I haven't forgotten or am not purposely ignoring others who've asked about my stuff. Just behind. In two days, I go into hospital for total knee replacement (last year was other knee). I will get back to more interesting things than icing, elevation and PT as soon as I can. Stay tuned. And thank you for interest and your many supportive comments. Canoeing folks as the best!
