Enjoyed reading, we were in the BW at the same time and I smiled every time you mentioned wind, as we had a lot as well. A neat way to enjoy the BW, thanks for your report.

Good report and good information...
I have often thought of doing what you did... and may try to do it next year if I get to take a trip at all. The Kawishiwi River looks like some good fishing! I know of a few other places which are good fishing but are anywhere from 9-10 miles from the entry point. That would be a long day solo, but not too bad tandem.

Nice report and an option to soloing.
I've been to Greenstone but only hiked the portage to see the lake. It's easy to get to the portage from Farm Lake.
It would be interesting to to maybe triple portage in and spend 3 days or so. I'd like to see what fish are in there. There's probably been very little fishing pressure there. Could be something special. Then again, maybe not. :)
