I went into Northern Lights Lake in Ontario this past weekend, just to explore. Took the old rail portage from Saganaga and cruised around N Lights Lake in canoe with 2hp sidemount. Interested in getting to know that lake for fishing as I understand there are some huge 'eyes in there. The lake is expansive, beautiful, with lots of channels, bays and islands. Anyone been there and have suggestions on the best general areas of the lake to fish for 'eyes? Not looking for your secret honey-hole, just general areas of this massive body of water to target. And is there a map available anywhere that marks campsites?

Same general places as Saganaga for walleyes. You can camp on Crown land at $9.?? per night per person. Look at the interactive map online that the Ontario MNR has for Crownland delienation. Match that up with Satellite imagery for sand beaches and I would camp there ( you can camp anywhere reasonably on crown land). Heavily used Crown campsites can be a little disgusting IMO. My Navionics Canada US app has the hydrography of NorthernLight. Always remember to follow all the rules in Canada to the letter (Bait,RABC, bailer, 50 ft rope,whistle, Prov park pass and licenses) and check back at US Customs. Good luck!
