Hopefully I won't embarrass her, but I want to send thoughts and prayers for healing to Puffingin as she goes "Under the knife" today. I know how uplifting reading the board was when I was hospitalized in May and I know she has a lot of friends here on the board who I'm certain want to wish her well. She's a sweet lady if you ever get the chance to meet her!

OSLO: "Hopefully everything went well, and the recovery is fast!
Just out of curiosity, is that the Buffalo River in Arkansas in the photo that was posted?"
I was gonna ask the same thing. Sure looks like it. Great river for spring paddling when the North is still frozen...

Flashback: "Best wishes for speedy recovery.
We miss seeing you at Rendezvous.

P.S. In answer to a couple of people who asked; the photo was taken on the Buffalo river in Arkansas. Am sure; we were there when the photo was taken.

You certainly were there, I remember you "Guiding" everyone around "Wreckin' Rock"

Thinking of her and sending strength and healing to her and all who need it. I've watched some amazing recoveries from that surgery and hoping yours is one of those as well! Plenty of time for PT before the next paddling season!

Thanks for all the supportive words. Got home from rehab center and settled in yesterday with help from my dear sister. Lots more icing and elevation in my future between exercise/stretching/PT sessions. Sure is nice to be home. Went for a nice walk in my yard and picked a three (maybe not ripe) pears from tree that I thought would be dead by this year but set 15 fruit.

Glad to hear it Ginny!

So glad to hear you are on the mend Ginny,
Both my parents got new knees and also my MIL this past summer, they are all doing good and getting better.
I'm hoping the same for you.

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.
