We have had vintage Italian pizza and liked it but also looks like thirsty pagan also has good reviews. Which do you think is better?

You have to try the Thirsty Pagan. Awesome craft brews and great pizza. They have won numerous awards for both!!

Thirsty Pagan rules for deep dish and craft brews. But if you like traditonal thin crust stop at Sammy"s in Lakeside..ask for Marty.

Is sammy's the same as one in eau claire in wi?

VIP not even CLOSE! I get that Sammy's is well known but it doesn't do much for me. I think it is waaaay over rated (and over priced). You can just go to VIP and skip the Thirsty Pagen ( not that it's bad but My fave is VIP)

On the final day of our BW trips, VIP has been the motivating factor to keep things moving. It's our prize when we make it back to Duluth.

VIP also has take n bake pizzas which are relatively inexpensive. If you get a take n bake with sausage it actually comes on the pizza raw/uncooked but they use fresh italian sausage on their pizzas. I must be hungry because I'm getting way too into detail on one of my favorite pizzas in the state of MN.

In Superior, WI, don't miss Shorty's Pizza and Meats. Was recently featured on TV's "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". We found it kinda by accident by just driving around Superior looking for "someplace". We loved it!!
