Hello! I am going up last weekend in September. Trying to finalize an entry point within the next few days. What is your favorite lake to fish / have done the best? I have done well on Disappointment and Grace (walleyes & smallies).

I am looking for some new lakes that have been proven to have good #'s of walleyes and smallies. I have entered from Sawbill, Snowbank and Brule so I'm looking for a different entry point. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can’t go wrong entering any of the entry points along the Echo Trail.

This looks like your second topic post. Do some research and you will find some lakes. Also, become a member and people would probably head you in the right direction.

minnesota DNR LAKEFINDER is a nice tool , but for BWCA lakes they can be a bit vague , a few havent been netted for more than a couple decades- time of year-how much time was spent on any given lake by the survey crew , a few variables example 1 survey only netted 3 smaller lake trout, on a spring trip my group did i quit counting after 30 lakers. definitely a place to start and i dont mind sharing some personal experiences on certain BW lakes unless it's a brook trout lake ;)

Nice. So then tell the lake where you caught all the Lakers. It's not your brook trout lake.

I like the ones with fish in them. I like a few up in the Sawbill area.

i'll share off line , some of fishing can be good timing , on this particular trip ice had just gone off and lakers were in 5'15' a real no brainer.
one member i'm chatting with now is interested in a lake that hasn't been net surveyed since 1978 , so there isnt much info there to go on.

The lake I'm camping on at the time.
