Congratulations to Peter and Matt on an amazing run 264 miles 100 hours. No records, but hey, it is still a great accomplishment. Actually, I think anything less than 7 days is amazing! In my old age I plan to do the route one more time while I am still able, but I'll take 15 days to do it, maybe more.

When I saw that Peter and his friend Matt were doing this, I thought they’d be the first. Have you read Peter’s 24hr Challenge trip report?

Seems that they were well prepared for this challenge. Hope they can get some good sleep today. I can't imagine maintaining that pace for 100 hours with just a few snatches of sleep.

Looks like the Beav's team will be doing the big portage in the dark.

I saw them at the Friday nite dinner at the Grand Ely Lodge, those two looked like they were built for speed.

Gongrats to them both.

Yup, they did the Grand Portage - 9 miles in about 3 hours and 40 minutes - Fast guys. Managed to get pics and chat before they went down for a "nap"!

Thanks all! We're feeling much much better after food and showers. Time for a well earned nap now.

I had to laugh... They had all their food on the table in the bunk house. Let's just say more was left then brought. Wish I'd have done that before every trip I ever took.
Good job guys!
