My Grandmother passed these riddles on which she heard as a child. She would be over 110 years old if she were still living. I don't see a Riddle Forum (Thank Goodness) ;) But thought I'd pass them on before I forgot them or kicked the bucket. Sounded like a plan.
As I walked over London Bridge, I peeped under. I saw a man cobbling shoes with no leather. By the time I finish this riddle, I'd have told you his name five times and yet you don't know it.
Round as a bisquit. Busy as a bee. Shiny a little thing as you ever did see.
A bit like Dutch shoes; to and fro through lees and loos. Light as a leaf and will cause you no grief if you only know just what to do.

Well...I did guess the first one correctly, after all.

"When you need me you throw me away
When you're done with me you bring me back"
What am I?"
Fish hook/lure. Or potentially a drift net for fishing.
"
The official answer is "an anchor" but I think yours works too!
