Does BB sell lengths of the inner tubing on these paddles?

Contact their service department. I inquired last year on blade replacement for a slice/solo and they gave me a good price on that.

I have a slice. Any tips on what not to do to avoid the problem? Thanks.

Don't lean it against your canoe and trip and step on it. LOL
Took me about 5 minutes to fashion a field repair with a stick and duct tape.

Did the paddle break at the ferrule, or are you looking for a piece to use as a splice somewhere else on the shaft? If bending Branches can't help you, you could probably make something like this work with some good measuring and a bit of sanding https://www.clearwatercomposites.com/products/carbon-fiber-tubes/ferrule-round/.

Otherwise, I've had good luck repairing broken composite shafts (oval shaped, so a splice is a pain) by clamping them together, spraying in some expanding foam to make a lightweight temporary slice and then wrapping with carbon and heat shrink tape.

BB did not have a ferrule piece long enough but a 3/4' pvc pipe fits perfectly.
I was thinking of using epoxy or the glue used for pvc piping. Any thoughts? The remnants of my field repair.

My preference would be to rough up the surface of the pvc and use epoxy. Not sure how the pvc glue would interact with the paddle shaft, as it does disolve the surfaces when used on pvc pipes.

Good job in the field. Post pics when you've done the permanent repair!

The epoxy worked great. The surface is smooth and I can't detect a weight difference. I can't torque it by hand so should be good to go in the field.
