A lot of BA fans on the board and just wanted to let some of you now about a gear review on there new bag. I purchased the bag to try and lighten the load more for some long backpacking trips, but did take it and used it for three recent one week trips into the BWCA. LOVE IT ! The 850 down fill was much warmer for my wife and I than our favorite go to bags the Lost Ranger. Just as roomy inside for those who toss around a lot like myself, I was never uncomfortable had to keep the bag zipped open most of the time to vent. Temps did get down into the low thirtys with plenty of rain and dampness but stayed nice and dry under a CCS Lean . Did sleep out in the open many nights under a tarp with some strong winds and the bag never did get drafty. Tried the bag with a Exped synmat and also a lite weight BA Insulated AXL sleeping pad and both seemed to work the same . This bag is definitely going to retire a couple of lost rangers, cant wait and try them this winter double bagging with are BA Elk Park.

Try the fit at home first. I used a Lost Ranger an Yampa combo in the past and found it to compress some loft loosing heat. I'm short but somewhat wide, you may have better results.
Looked long at the Mystic but decided on a Pomer Hoit 0 degree and have not looked back, for sub freezing sleep.

I have a Yampa and have used it many times with the Lost Ranger, it has worked good for me in the shoulder seasons. I plan on using the Yampa with the Mystic late this month or November if weather permits and I hike some of the BWA trails. I'm short and wide also and if need be I'll take a closed cell foam pad with me with the Exped
