Has anyone ordered the fleece pants from the NewChic ad on the right part of your screen?
Do you like them for canoeing and hiking in cooler weather?

My outdoors partner in crime has a pair of fleece tights he wears under his convertible hiking pants and likes them. I tend to not get cold in the outdoors unless it's well below freezing. If I wore those tights I'd be sweating. Something like this might be a better option in colder weather for me, but I haven't found myself wanting something warmer on my legs beyond my silk thermies and hiking pants.

For cooler weather when I'm paddling up there, I wear an UnderArmour base layer which dries quickly.

I love the Sporthill Nomad pants and have used them in the cooler conditions for over a decade for canoeing, portaging, XC skiing, mountain biking, under my rain pants, etc. my favorite lounging pants too! in fact I'm wearing them as I write this. They are soft, great stretchability and, apparently, indestructible. Mine are made of Swift fabric so I don't know how that compares to the new Drylite or Swiftpro fabrics. Zephyr pant may be an option. Can't say enough good thi gx about them.

Very, and yet surprisingly wind proof.

I guess the answer to the OP is that no one on here has ordered them. I have been looking at them, as Spartan1 works outdoors in the late fall and winter (cleaning up the garden, splitting wood, blowing and shoveling snow, etc.) and I wondered if they would be good for him. He gets cold. He has some fleece-lined jeans but they aren't all that waterproof.

I thought the price on these was really good if they are any decent quality.

Gotta love the descriptions. The fabric is both "water resistant" and "super water proof"! Also attrition resistant! And who doesn't want a belt that is both "exquisite and practical". They certainly don't cost too much, and you earn 34 NC points when you buy. But for me, before I send my credit card details off to Guangzhoushi China, I'll wait to see how well others like theirs.

+1 for SportHill. I've been using their XC pants for over 20 years for running, snowshoeing, canoe tripping, and lounging at home. About to order my 5th pair.

I'd say so for the XC. And just enough room underneath to fit some merino wool longjons. Can't answer for the Nomads, but hopefully Jackpine will say. Note there is a different sizing chart for each pant product. Also, the XC is available at REI if there is one near you.

Yes, the size is accurate. I got my second pair about 8 years ago and they are the same size as the ones I bought 18 years ago.

I have a similar pair (fleece pants referenced by OP) and I think they are great.

There are a lot these kind of pants available on Amazon with many different labels. Both my wife and I have a pair...each from a different vendor. Mine doesn't have the all the zippered pockets and is more like a cargo pant. They are windproof and warm...again, we think they are a great pant. Look through the gazillion different vendors and find a cheap pair (got mine for under $20) The sizing is iffy so if you can get free returns from Amazon Prime that is the way to go.

smart one!
I looked into these 'New Chic' Fleece Trousers quite some time ago. I read some reviews but can't remember if - or + prevailed. (I know. That's not very helpful.)
Something didn't strike me well so I did not purchase. I do believe it was 46% off a year ago, as well. Just comes off as gimmicky.
That's my 2 cents.

Ha Ha I also like the look of the new chic pants but also am weary of ordering them...something about the add just gives me the scammer weebie jeebies...was hoping like the OP that someone else already has taken a chance and ordered, ah well.

Moonman.
