My buddies and I will be arriving on 10/15 for a week long trip. Can we expect any of the Fall colors to be left? We will be in the Saganaga and Red Rock areas.

Also it looks like we'll need to be pack and extra layer. Its looking to be just a bit chilly!

I was up the north shore last weekend, they were really nice, but with the wind rain and maybe snow, lots will have dropped. I bet it will still be really nice, just not as ;)
Have a good trip!

Around Ely the colors have been great all week. But after some heavy rain on Wednesday a lot more leaves have hit the ground today. But it’s not over yet.

Hahahaha, white is a color... We have a couple inches already. I think next week will warm up a little.

The Maples and Birch will probably be done but many Aspen still have a hint of green. The Tamaracks are just beginning to turn.

DNR color map just switched today (Oct 11) to 'Past Peak' in the Ely area. I can believe it. Sun-Tue was perfect. Had to be the very peak of color. But, yesterday, as we left in that cold/wind/rain storm, there were as many leaves hitting the windshield as there were splatters of sleet.
