I just uploaded my YouTube slide show from our trip a couple weeks ago. It was during that rainy/ windy/ cloudy stretch of weather. We entered at Moose River North and spent most of our time in Lake Agnes.

Beautiful pictures/slide show, Gary. Thanks for sharing that. I know there's a lot of time, effort, and skill invested in it. It was a wee bit colder than usual this year.

Gary, I had no idea that you're a member of this web site and am pleasantly surprised to see your slideshow post. You are a celebrity in our house. I can't tell how much I have enjoyed watching your May 19-29 2016 Little Indian Sioux Entry slideshow. It inspired me to return to the BWCA after 15 years. Great work, Thank you.

We were on LLC the week before and got out just as the cold front was coming through.
Thanks for the video. Outstanding photography and presentation!

Wow, Gary. Just......wow. Even on a bad weather trip, you capture it. The critter shots are just great.

Thanks everyone for watching and commenting! It was definitely a different sort of trip with the weather and the food barrel snafu, but still a good trip!
Tomcat - thanks, the 2016 LIS trip was special to me too... it was my first trip after retiring, so we could expand it to 10 days. Plus the good weather and fishing and photo ops... :-)

Gary, this was a joy to watch - stunning photography and so nicely put together! We were in much of that area in May, what I treat to see it through your lens. Thank you for sharing your amazing work!

Fantastic photography. I have a special place in my heart for the Agnes area. Thanks for sharing.

Great slide show and report. Since the day I got my barrel I've been worried about other folks grabbing it by mistake, so on day one I started adding stickers to it of companies that help me get outdoors: REI, MWM, MSR, Snowtrekker, NOLS, NPS, etc. I do hope you got yours back.

Loved the show! Some stunning shots as usual. The captions helped tell the story too. Great stuff Gary and hope to see many more now that you are retired. Thanks for putting it together.

Wow. What a great way to start my day. I'm sure you have been asked this before, so pardon my ignorance, but what do you shoot with? Incredible!

Gary! Great to meet you in Decorah, and glad to find your photography on here now!

I think you've convinced me to alter next year's trip with Grant, go in through Moose River towards Crooked and finish at Mudro instead of looping it through Mudro. Since you've met my family, you might enjoy this short video from last summer's trip to Insula ;) I hope we cross paths again someday. Scott

Really nice pictures. I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks a bunch for sharing!

Thanks for the pictures. I'm going to bookmark that one to come back to in the middle of winter. The shots of shoreline/lake were probably my favorite along with the campsites. I always like to imagine myself in those places. Good route too.

Thanks again everyone for watching and commenting! One reason I love putting these together is that it lets me relive my latest trip.... over and over. We had intended to travel to Iron, but the barrel snafu and weather kinda sucked the wind out of us.

Scotttimm - great meeting you too... looks like the kids had a blast!
Elydog - I shoot Canon gear, but good photos can be taken with any of the modern digital cameras. I've shared this before, but here is the link to some photos notes I jotted down about Boundary Waters photography:

Nice pics, Gary! My group took that trip up through Nina Moose, Agnes and up to Lac La Croix last year. We stayed in the campsite you came back to on Agnes. Great spot. And, we camped just across the bay on Nina Moose from where you did your last night. Thanks for the pics. They brought back a lot of great memories. It was fun to recognize so many of the places from your trip that we saw on ours. Thanks again!
