... you can still be in the woods! My wife and I drove up to the SHT today to do some volunteer trail maintenance. What a glorious fall day it was! It reminded me of one of the main reasons I so love the bdub - time spent in the north woods. The hills seemed a bit steeper and the trail a bit longer than in past years, but the woods were as magical as ever!
Just put one foot in front of the other; eventually you'll get there.

My son and I just spent three days and two nights in Scenic State Park backpacking site #2. We had a blast and even got to hike out through a snow storm Saturday morning.
One thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning

I love the SHT, we live .5 mile's from it in Duluth.
I've been car camping with the wifey for 8 days now in Utah and Arizona, 8 or 9 days to go.
Camped here a couple days ago, free BLM dispersed site in Valley of the Gods.

May the rivers be crooked and winding, and your portages lonesome, leading to the most amazing view.

My wife and I will be headed out in late April for two/three weeks, but with the trailer so I think we will have to use campgrounds. Any absolute must sees that really stood out?
