I'm curious to know if folks around here spend much time on other, non-BWCA-specific fishing forums, and if so, which would you recommend?

Thanks!

I used to be on fishingminnesota.com almost daily, but not for years. Seems like the only times I go back now is to relive some laughs on the (long dormant) 20 inch Box Fan thread in the FREE Things Only forum...

Texas Fishing Forum - very useful if you are in Texas
River Smallies - haven’t been there in a while
2CoolFishing - mostly Texas coast but going downhill fast

I am still a moderator on fishingminnesota.com, but that site has been dead for years and is somehow still dying fast. Used to be great, not so much anymore.

I regularly visit WALLEYE CENTRAL and look at "Strictly Fishing" and "Canada Eh ?" forums under Message Board..

I have learned a lot about walleye fishing tactics and equipment on this website. Still trying to catch that elusive 13 lb. walleye. Maybe will catch her in 2019?

I also used to use fishingminnesota.com , but have not for the last few years. They changed their on screen format a few years ago , that is when things seemed to go south.

I like bassresource.com. Lots of pics and some seriously skilled fishers.

True that.

I was removed from that site for posting my opinion on occasion. I guess it wasn’t a popular opinion ! Lol

I used to be a regular at riversmallies.com, but haven't been there for a while.

It would be a great resource if you're chasing smallies in moving water of all sizes.

I occasionally visit Ohiogamefishing.com

I used to visit Walleye Central but after Scott sold out it seams to be more commercial. I haven't visited in 3 years probably.

chitownangler.com is a pretty active fishing site in the Chicago area. Forums include "out of state" fishing.

I also am a Muskie first fishing forum guy.

In years past it was Lake-Link, Walleye Central, Muskie Hunter, and some others, but Muskie First has stood the test of time.

That was a great site back in the day! A shame it split into two and lost something.

It started out pretty rule bound and uptight but for about 3 years before it split up..It let you say your peace unless you were personal...but I agree it was pretty uptight in the beginning. I don't think they even allowed dead fish pics to be posted. It was good in it's day though.
