My wife and I got a pair of chair ones a few years ago. We've taken them on a few BW trips and love having a back rest after a long day paddling. Usually it's our 2 chairs and the group of 3 to 5 battles over who gets to use them and when.

I knew they made larger chairs, but wasn't aware they made a lighter weight version. Naturally I found them on sale and got 2 zeros. They are about a pound lighter each, most of that in the fabric used. For a few bucks I'll gladly save 2 lbs in the pack.

They do have a lighter max weight at 250 but luckily we don't come anywhere near that. The chair one is 320 I believe. So far we like them just setup in our living room. Well either sell or give away our chair ones most likely it appears.

Not sure we'll be doing anything right now with them but I'll list here if I do.

Here's a picture of the two for packed size comparison. It's half the weight but not quite half the size

And then when you finally take a seat, Big Agnes no longer caries Helinox switching to their own brand and style. So many chairs, so many options.
Oh well still using my original REI Flex chairs, wobbly and low slung just not wearing out.
Someday--------------

Liked the chair zero’s...with 4 of us the weight savings is noticeable.

Any idea what BA no longer carrying Helinox might mean for their availability at local stores? I know they can be ordered directly from Helinox (DAC), but I'm betting most (all?) of our retail stores were relying on the relationship with BA to stock the product, especially given that DAC has essentially no direct retailer-facing presence, as far as I can tell.

The REI website has the Chair Zero on sale for $70 this week.

I think Helinox has a fairly well established relationship with a bunch of gear retailers. I also feel BA just decided to market their own style/brand of camp furniture. I do like the idea of different makers competing. More to choose from.

Pulled the trigger - price is too good to pass up. X-mas present ;-)
Hope it's as durable as the H-1 I've had for a while.

If you go to the REI outlet online, theres a blue and white Chair One on clearance for $70, and you can use the 25OUTLET code for another 25% off. Pretty good deal.

I have outfitted a family of 5 so we have one of just about every brand of this style of chair :-)

I have a Chair One but upgraded to the Chair Zero several years ago to save weight and space. I like it very much now but it took me a while to break it in. The seat sling was so taut that my slippery camping pants would have me sliding out of the chair if I didn't brace my feet on the fire ring. Now the seat has stretched out enough that by backside stays in the chair without bracing! I bought a mini stool and now I have a foot rest to use for car camping. In the BWCA I use my BV450 as my foot stool and my BV500 as my side table.
