I'm trying to find videos (and images) of portages that are involved in the trip I will be doing. Is anybody aware of somewhere that has these videos? If not I wonder if we did a sub-forum and a thread was named for the portage number and name and people could put videos or images in there about them.

Useful or not?

You can find information about portages Here:

I believe there are some videos too. You just need to sign up for other forums at the bottom of the message board page.

There's also a number of videos of portages on Youtube.

Just search for the lake name(s) on Youtube, and you may get videos of the portages you're looking for.

Nibimocs videos on YouTube has many discussions and videos of portages. He has been all over and discusses the best way to approach.

I've been looking and have found some. I'm looking to speed up the process.

I’m surprised you haven’t found a certain website I’m not going to advertise.

Kiporby has a bunch of Quetico youtubes. We did parts of your route but I didnt see any of those specific portages in his vids. Go to youtube and search "Dan Knutson Quetico"

You might consider checking out the interactive map on the site as well. If you click on the portages, people have rated them and provided pics or feedback a lot of the time. I've found i can get decent portage info between doing that and reading trip reports. As someone else mentioned nibimocs has pretty detailed vids on youtube.

What portages are you looking for?
