Hey All,
We are putting into E.P.73 (Cache Bay) on June 23 and re-entering via the same point on July 1 or thereabouts.
The question- where do we check in to U.S. Customs? I assume that we need to do this, just don't know where and what operating hous may be.
Thanks in advance!

There is a US customs office in Grand Marais. Check in there.

I believe I overlooked that last step on our trip last year.

The US Customs station in Grand Marais is at the Coast Guard Station on the lake now or has been for a couple years.

There is a light and it never goes out. Morrissey

We're coming out of Quetico vis Little Indian Souix - I think EP 14. Where do we go for checking into US?

We came in/out at Cache Bay last year. By the time(5-6pm) we made it down to Grand Marais though the Coast Guard station was closed for the day. So we decided to spend the night...only problem is getting a room at the Best Western last minute cost me about $150 for 12 hours of occupancy. Found out when we got home rates aren't much better far in advance.

So anyway we head down to the CCS around 10-11a.m. Nice gentleman takes are passport cards, comes back about 5 mintues later and says thank you. Also asked if we purchased anything in Canada. Mentioned in the future if we got there after closing time we could head to the CCS in Grand Portage which is open 24hrs.
