Quetico: Into the Wild... by Gary & Joanie McGuffin.

Written for the 100th anniversary of Quetico in 2009, it's just a fabulous book of wonderful photography from all over the park.


It's only a spot on the map... until you go there.

My son has started his own little tradition of getting a new book every time we head into the Quetico and is remembered by Janice the ranger as the "bookboy".


This past June my son picked that one up at the Cache Bay ranger station going in. Great photos...my son said "how come our water pictures don't look like that" you know the silky effect or whatever it's called. Actually I don't really care for that look.


Last year he picked out Kevin Callan's "Quetico and Beyond" which we read out loud to each other every night after our little card games. A great read, we really enjoy Kevin's sense of humor. He has a website that is pretty good also.
