We caught a couple dozen nice smallies on Iron last week, in the 18-21" range. Big females were sitting right on the shoreline. I built that cairn in memory of my father 7 yrs ago, has lichen on it now.

It was pretty tight, but we got that good one on the east end of the lake with a big bay in front.

Some very nice fish. Good work. Memorial day weekend wasn't quite as kind to us, but we caught a bunch of pike, as well as a few eyes and smallies.

We camped on Iron on Friday last week. Several camp sites were open. Smallies were busting torpedos and jitterbugs. Worms were good also.
