I recently discovered bwca.com and am loving this site. What a great gathering of info. Really love the messageboard and everyones willingness to help others and posting of great info.
I first went out of the end of Gunflint when I was in first grade and the trail was a narrow dirt road. I have been loving the Boundary Waters ever since. This summer I will be taking my 17 yr old son in for another great adventure, He looks forward to it every year.
Even after all these years and trips in, new tips and tricks always help. Hopefully you can teach this old dog new tricks! I have already learned quite a few in a short time on the site. :)
Anyway...just wanted to say thanks to all the members and Adam for a great site with such a wonderful community of fellow wilderness enthusiasts!
THANK_YOU!

Welcome aboard! Put your PFD on!
Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.

Join the clan, nice place to visit. You will find an incredible amount of knowledge here, nice people, and basically any question gets good answers, (well maybe, mostly, except that outies are in some way better than innies, :-) INNIES Rule :-) )

Welcome, as you can see some are newbies some are oldies(but goodies)Never a lack of opinions here. Sometimes even if you don't ask. I'd be curious how many find us by accident ggogling. and how many found us by word of mouth.?
Without the bad times, the good times wouldn't seem so good.

I found it by typing bwca.com in my address bar. Adam's got the best URL. ;-)

Welcome to the absolute best board on the web! I stumbled across it a bit over a year ago myself. Tons of information, opinions and good conversations. An amazing group of people here. I can't wait to meet them all someday.

Everybody sure is friendly here!
I hope I meet some of you in the wilderness this summer...
Maybe we should make a super secret paddle wave or something so we recognize each other. I dont always swim across the lake, sometimes I ride in a canoe.
Sure am looking forward to this years trip, and then I can make a trip report!
Thanks for the warm welcome and welcome to others new to the board!

Stickers....OK.... :-X
We do look for them. We can spot a flying moose across the lake, on a portage or on top of a vehicle. (ESPECIALLY, if you put them ON your vehicle) Most flying moose sightings are either met with a hug or a posting on this site.
