Not sure if this is to early or not to start thinking about this. Was about a year ago that I started planning, and setting this up, for last years Wing. Anyways, I still have use of the park, and will have plenty of firewood, and camping spots. If we get some more snow/rain the Kishwaukee river will hopefully be useful for paddling. Its been the lowest i've seen in 20 years and I hope that changes. I plan on having it the weekend May 3-5, that's one week after the MN wing. Let me know if your interested. Post your comments!

That was a great event last year. I will plan on making it again this year.

Sounds like one I can make. Bout a 5 hour trip for me. Any fishing close by? I have friends in Roscoe I can visit also.

I'll have to miss it this year. My neighbor's son is getting married on the 4th.

canoe42 & 1happycamper will be there. Hopefully the later date will have warmer weather than last year. Brrrrrrrrrr.

Blutofish, the Kish is a wadeable stream (depending on levels, of course) that holds a good population of smallies. Also has the occasional pike and walleye and it's good catfish water as well.

Sounds like another fun time. I will try real hard to make it.

I might be in on this! I grew up in Rockford. And did a bunch of paddling on the Kish. It's been a long time. It would be fun to paddle it again and meet some felow BWCA'rs.
