Has anyone else tried the Alessi Soup Mixes? So far all of the ones I've tried have been fantastic and they are very hearty, light, cheap, quick, and easy to prepare. Also satisfy the 100 calories/ounce rule.

I think these are going to be a new go-to camping and backpacking food for me.

The rice dishes are excellent as well but take much longer to cook, I'm thinking about cooking some off and then dehydrating them.

I've seen them at WalMart with the Bear Creek soups.

I tried the bean soup for lunch today. Pretty good, but 28% of daily recommended sodium per serving. Wish the dried stuff had less sodium.

Yeah its hard to find light and easy camping food that isn't high in sodium. Being young still I don't have to worry about as much though.
