Anyone made their own MRE's? If so, what did you put in them? Going to make enough for several week long trips and need some ideas.

Thanks - Gorytt

I guess the question is are you looking for a "pure type" Mre where everything including a spoon and fork is included? I break down box's of store bought or dehydrated stuff for each meal. You can get a look at some in the picture. I was kidding the wife I was bringing the dog as mobil rations......

In the picture you can see something packed that includes some red looking dried fruit. That dinner was a couple of cups of chicken stuffing, a foil pack of chunk chicken and a instant chicken gravy pack. I like adding dried cranberries to the stuffing mix to kick it up a bit.
Another shows the spam single slices thats added to a store bought mac and cheese mix.

Another is gravel, a instant pack of beef gravy and some instant potato's from a larger box.

You can do breakfast by dropping a couple of packs of instant oat meal, a couple of packs of coffee creamer and a handful of dried fruit.

I carry a simple long handle Spork(Plastic from the dollar store) and spices are packed seperate

You can write on the packs with a sharpie if you want to be sure about how to bring your stuff back to life.
