We use these sausage crumbles at home and think they are delicious. I got the idea from one of the dads making breakfast at the fall wing night last year. I had never seen them before but now they are a staple at our house. The kids like to add them into their scrambled eggs when they are making their breakfast.
They do need to be refrigerated but I bet you could easily dehydrate them or freeze them and use in the first couple of days.

My wife got these for our canoe trip this weekend on the Lower Wisconsin River. Used them in our Pizzas we made in the Outback Oven and in our breakfast burritos. Tastes good. We just carried them in a soft sided cooler that was in our blue barrel.
