I have been told the walleye fishing is fantastic on the right lakes. I do not believe any of the lakes on my route had walleyes. You can get a listing species by lake here. I love to fish but do 2 kinds of trips....canoe somewhere to fish (base camp) or just trip with an occasional cast for food. This trip was to canoe as much of WCPP as possible in my allotted time.
I am still at my cabin, when I get back to my home PC and dump my GPS I will share more details with you on routes. In the mean time...start researching here.
Join the WCPP forum on this site. There are new maps are due out this fall. They will greatly assist in your planning.

I'm guessing the tent on Wrist might have been a guy who back in the solotripping.com days called himself Canoeguitar. I met him at the Leano EP on our way out. They were waiting for a shuttle. He's a photographer and might have been out taking pictures. He said he saw Caribou in that area (Wrist). He said they came from that direction. I'm glad we went out when we did cause it was rather warm that day. Wonder if that was your multiple swim day. Thanks for the report. Liked your pictures, you must have a good camera and obviously know how to use it.

Great report and one I definitely bookmarked. I liked "As I am leaving a raven flies in and sits on Stoneman...A good omen?" but wondered if Poe wouldn't have said "bad" omen. Great pics and comments like "I only fell once" made for a fun read. Thanks for sharing. --Goose
Soloing is sweet, but a good partner is "priceless."

Excellent report and pics. I've never been up there but had a few observations. The sand on the beaches looks very fine. The park has a certain desolation look to it. Maybe it was that the sites don't looked used like in the BW or even Quetico.
Loved the pic of the crow on the cairn. I'm with you on having vivid dreams. I wonder why that is?
I think you're the first solo person I ever knew to camp in a 4 man tent. I bought a Sierra Designs 2 man for my solo this year and you might enjoy the 3 man version of it. It's very well built as all SD tents are and there's a nice clearance sale here. Sierra Designs LT 3 tent

I am still waiting to read your report. :-) I had to forgo my trip this year due to some family priorities. I had it all planned out just in case I got a chance to go. Had I gone I would have been in the park now, probably somewhere north of Haven Lake tonight. I have been living it virtually this week, checking what the weather is, navigating on the map, planning my move the next day... Next year I will double down and go for two weeks, starting to research a route now.
