Sounded like an intresting trip, sonded like you had a good time in spite of it being really COLD. I thought the pictures that were taken inside the fishouse were really cool, sort of a Starwars type backround. FRED

Nice trip report! Winter camping is hard work and doesn't always go according to plan. I know ive learned a lot of winter camping lessons the hard way-like trying to keep food unfrozen. You guys seemed to roll with the punches and coped really well! Ridiculous cold you were dealing with!

I was hoping there might be a picture or two of your sleds (which undoubtedly were pretty big/full). I am an UL packer at heart but it is tough with winter camping because there are a lot of necessities before you start adding in comfort upgrades and ice fishing gear.

Great trip report, Thanks.
Some day I'll make it up to Woodland Caribou. Trying to get up to the BW in a few weeks.

We had our sleds with...but with the ride in we were dropped off right at our camp. Nice service! But our gear does fit on our sleds. One sled is 12 foot the other is 14 foot. We are thankful we didn't have to pull anywhere this time because in that cold of temps that sleds pull like lead weight. We brought our sled out ice fishing and it was like torture to pull. We had to take turns and it was still tough. And that was a light sled weight compared to our normal. We made our sleds about two years ago and they usually work great. We are big fans of the creature comforts that could make winter camping possible for anyone. We just haven't had any takers! :)
