Still hoping someone will find my thwart bag from last Septembers trip. Stayed on NE site on Alton then back to my Sawbill put in. Forest green Granite Gear. I'd be surprised if some one hadn't found it yet but you never know. It was a long winter.

"Lost wooden folded-up fast bucksaw” (see http://www.fastbucksaw.com/ for picture/discription of saw) on May 23 or May 24, 2014 either at bwca.com map designated campsite # 1431 ( number 30 on throne/biffy) on South arm of Knife lake on south side of large island across from Eddy lake portage or somewhere between this campsite and portages to Seagull lake via portages to Eddy, Jenny, Annie, Ogishkemuncie, Alpine lake (stayed at designated campsite 364 across from portage to Seagull Lake) and Seagull Lake. Think we either left it at campsite # 1431 on South Arm of Knife Lake or lost on portages to Alpine Lake. I love this saw. Please notify me via email if you find it.

Left my Costa sunglasses on a tree branch nub on Jean Lake at campsite D4 (mid-lake, south side, 4 star campsite on east side of Peninsula) on June 2nd. Sunglasses have black frames, green lenses , and a strap with 3 wine corks. Glasses may still be on the tree nub - if heading to this area in the next week and you could take a quick look I would appreciate.

Don't really expect to see them again but lost a handheld gps in temperance halfway between Kelly and Jack and also my squid anchor on Kelly near 2nd campsite. In about 15 feet of water 20 feet in front of that big rock on shore. You'll know the one if you're at that site. Maybe when water levels go down it'll be visible.

BigAl12-- stayed at that site from May 31st through June 2nd. No sign of your saw.

Found pfd at twin falls entry point. You can email me to claim. You should know the brand and size and should have some idea about the contents. If it is yours I am sure you will know. No it's not money but I would like to see it returned to proper owner.

Left behind...
A mono-hiking stick.
Just west of the Gabi lake campsite on the Kekekabic Trail.
(Should be at the base of the freshly cleared big cedar tree west of camp about 50 yards.)
Trip partner realized it when we got to Bingshick Lake...a bit too far of a back track.
Also one leather glove somewhere between the two...don't need it back, just saying. (LNT)

Came back from Knife Lake today without my wallet! I think I dropped it on a day trip from the bottom of Knife (around Robbins Island) to the Bonnie Lake portage. I guess we'll see if there's a good-hearted person out there somewhere......I sure hope so.

Fitbit Flex with black band.
It is likely laying at the first or second portage coming from Fourtown Lake into Mudro Lake.

June 23 - Pine Lake - 2nd campsite from the Eastern end
Left one titanium tent stake, likely at tent pad closest to water on east end of the site. plain, no coloration.
Not sure it's worth returning to me, but bummed we left it in the woods. Two 14 year old boys packed up that tent, so they need to learn to be a bit more careful!

I just saw your post but I cannot figure out how to email you. I left a pfd at that final portage out of twin falls. I just posted in the listening section: NRS Chinook olive PFD with Abel pliers and Abel nippers (black) plus Surflon and Rio tippet and some other stuff. Would be delighted to pay shipping and a small reward.

FYI, I was also dumb enough to leave my american express card at the Beaverhouse ranger station. I blame the attendant there because I always blame someone else when I forget stuff. Much more satisfying. Remarkably, they sent it by plane back to Crane Lake and it was waiting for me with my car keys. Very thoughtful of those Canadians and much appreciated. As it turns out, I did find my way home.

LOST: Silva Ranger compass with mirror and black plastic cover at the Snowbank side of the portage into Parent Lake on the morning of July 1st. It had the somewhat rare feature of a silver colored aluminum bezel. I dropped it into the water right next to shore on the extreme right side of the portage (again at the landing on the Snowbank side). When I dropped it, I noted where it went (I believe it slipped under some small overhanging rocks) but was distracted by a need from the BCM kids with whom I was traveling. When I returned for my second load, I could not find it and did not want to delay for a more thorough search.
Its a long shot, but what the heck.

Lost 7/16/14 on the portage from Cherokee to Town Lake or perhaps in the waters of Town Lake: my new this year, hardly-used, beautiful Bark River North Star fixed blade knife with ivory micarta handle with red stripe.
Attached to it with mason's string was a flint. I had the sheath on the strap of the belt pouch I was wearing (since the pair of pants I was wearing that day didn't have belt loops). We had set off from the portage and were paddling towards the middle of the lake. I made a stroke with the paddle and felt something move/change, looked down to find the sheath had flipped upside down and the knife was *sob* gone. No splash, no sound of *sob* departing.

LOST!
I lost my PFD Lash Tab knife somewhere between the landing at Top of the World and the exit at Nina Moose River on June 30, 2014. See it pictured on my vest below...if found, please send me a message as I would love to have it back! It is a Kershaw and it has a bright yellow handle. The blade is black, it had a blunt safety tip, and a glass breaker point of the end of the handle. I believe I likely accidentally pulled it out of its sheath while loading or unloading the canoe.

Here is a picture of the paddle we lost, went back to get--was nowhere to be found.
Carbon fiber bent shaft, wood blade, dedicated grip, decal.
Broke at top of shaft near grip.
In this picture it is the paddle on the far right.

That is it. I left it at the portage while I checked out the pictographs on Fishdance Lake. When it was still there on my way back that direction, I picked it up. Email me your information at joelnpam@comcast.net and I'll get it to you.

Marine compass lost on 8/3... on the way to Lake Polly from EP 37. It must have fallen out of my pocket somewhere along the 189 rod portage from Kawasachong to Polly... probably close to the water on either side when I set my pack down :( Would love to get it back. Please LMK if you come across it. Thanks!

LOST: Beach at Nina Moose Lake.
My most favorite canoe hat. Please help me. It was left on the beach at Nina Moose on that downed log tree or must have been blown off my head once we started out so would be washed up on the beach. Left on Aug 24 around 4:00. Mountain Hardwear bucket hat. Navy blue with a tan rim. I've had it for 15 years. It's went everywhere with me in the BWCA and the Quetico. Even to Africa. HUGE SENTIMENTAL VALUE. REWARD.

LOST: Stearns life jacket with colors red and gray. Left on trailer cover at Sawbill Lake entry point parking lot on August 16, 2014 about 1:00 PM. Drove off with it on top of trailer cover. Could be either in parking lot, somewhere in vicinity of Sawbill Lake Outfitters or on Sawbill trail on the way to Tofte, MN. We have contacted Sawbill Lake Outfitters about it. Please let me know if you have found it. Thanks.

Life jacket - I have been informed by my son, that the color of it is red and black. My grandson left it on my trailer cover and feels real real bad about it. We called Sawbill Lake Outfitters and informed them about it, but so far we have not heard from them. It probably fell off trailer somewhere between parking lot and Tofte, MN.
When we stopped at Blue Fin restaurant in Tofte for lunch, my grandson remembered He had left it there, but it was not there.
Thank you pswith5 for keeping an eye out for it.

Lost at one of the portages in between Lakes One & Two (could also be in the water)
1 set of keys with a remote start/open on the keyring.
John had the keys for the Suburban (which was in the Lake One parking lot) in his pocket & MEANT to put them in the pack. But when he went to take them out of his pocket, they had already disappeared.
Luckily we were able to use our sat phone & our crew found a spare for us.
