Just looking for a little extra info.
Can someone give me a description of the portages from PP to Other Man ?
Birch - Carp - Sheridan - That - No - This - Other
I know that there is a creek between That and No, so that's not really a portage.
From what I can find online, they all look very, very flat.
But curious about terrain - rocky, dirt path, swamp/bog, etc.
Solo trip in early-mid June.
Thanks

Similar interest. I will be going that way late June. I recall a trip report that covers most of the portages well, but do not have time to look it up right now. I will look for your report when you return. Thanks in advance.

I can speak only to the portage between Birch and Carp....one of the easiest I've come across..

They are not bad. One of the two in between that and this has a creek that is paddleable. Quite a nice one to skip. I would imagine which one it is, is listed in the maps section. I believe it's the first one on the way in.

The creek from That Man to No Man is a must paddle.... you will be like a kid at the fair and want to ride it again. Water flows from the north so you will be pulling some...with one log liftover near the end.
No Man to This Man is very steep for about 100 meters and that would probably be the only thing you need to be aware of.
This Man to Other Man is like a walk in the Park with a stream down below in the draw...

+1 what Boji said, and definitely no swamps/bogs. (I think one -- maybe Sheridan to That -- has alternate takeouts on the south end. First takeout is longer walk but better path.) --Goose
Soloing is sweet, but a good partner is "priceless."
